Erdenet Carpet is one of the leading manufacturers of Mongolia specialized in carpet and rug making.

Since its opening in 1981, our carpets and rugs have added warmth and comfort to homes and work spaces not only in Mongolia but in foreign countries.  Our carpets are representations of our country’s untouched nature, rich culture and tradition, and profound history as well as the modern development.

Mongolia is a country with a rich resource of coarse sheep wool and ranks among the top ten of wool producing countries in the world. Unlike synthetic carpets, wool carpet keeps warmth, isolates noise and absorbs moisture up to 30 percent, and also is fire resistant and long lasting. Our company is a producer of pure wool carpets and rugs with wool composition of 80-100 percent, and is a reputable supplier to over 20 countries around the world.

We annually produce 1.2 million to 1.5 million square meters of pure wool carpet and rugs of high quality that will stand the test of time. Each year more than 250 new designs are added to our design archives.

After the shareholders’ decision in April 2014 and Erdenet Carpet became a subsidiary of the newly established the Natural Textile Group. Birth of “Natural Textile Group” provided its subsidiaries with essential strategy, business development approach, and successful technology investment that advanced products, services, and employees to an international level.

For over 30 years, our company has grown to become a top national company with branches, stores and authorized distributors all around the country. We also have representative offices in neighboring Russia and China. Our factory, equipped with latest and most advanced machinery, is located in Erdenet city.

Erdenet Carpet has integrated manufacturing, with every step of the process executed in the same factory in Erdenet city. From wool collecting, wool processing, and yarn production to weaving and finishing processes, we do everything in-house and do not rely on outsourcing.

Our team of professional carpet designers equipped with latest design software work to ensure our designs are creative, up-to-date, and meets the needs of our customers. For the past 30 years, our carpet designers and product developers have created over 2500 different designs, ranging from the timeless Persian classics, and traditional, to abstract styles.

To keep up with the global industry trends and import international expertise, we collaborate with foreign designers on different design projects, and conduct professional trainings. We have successfully collaborated designers from Ukraine, Turkey, Germany, Iran and Spain.

The company acquired the latest weaving machineries and technology in an effort to utilize the highly variable and long lasting qualities of sheep wool to increase our product offerings and bring higher quality.

In addition, our integrated business model enables immediate testing of product development as soon as new ideas are conceived.

We participate in international flooring and carpet exhibitions with our new collections every year.

Erdenet Carpet is the second company in the country to implement the international quality standard ISO 9001:2008.  We have maintained the standard for over 10 years now since 2003. 

We are the first company of Mongolia to obtain a license of WOOLMARK LOGO for our products, which indicates that the product contains 100% pure new wool. We have maintained the license since 2008.

Our carpets of 80% wool composition bear the WOOLMARK BLEND LOGO, which we have preserving since 2010.
